Buffalo Bills vs Carolina Panthers week 15: Time to take out some frustration.
Mike D: Overdue Bills Senior Writer
LISTEN. This season maybe my favorite of all time. It has everything that a podcaster desires. We have a top-paid QB who lost to the Jaguars (who fired their coach before the season ended) and played so great vs the Buccaneers, that he almost overcame Tampa Bay, the Refs, and his head coach. And if you asked Bills fans who/what were the reasons we lost, the most repeated answer was the referees. Being an official (basketball) myself, I know what it’s like to miss a call or make a bad call. But when that occurs, I intently watch for it again. This is why it was mind-boggling to me that they not only missed 2 pass interferences on Stefon Diggs but 3 of them. In true #BillsMafia fashion, fans started donating $17 to Visually Impaired Advancement charity.
Hopefully, we can then switch our donations to the American Society of Transplantation so we can get McDermott a heart. For a coach who preached toughness and grit, he made some of the wimpiest decisions of his career. I believe it is getting to the point where he is becoming a weekly detriment to the team. With the punts and field goal decisions, I was screaming at my television all night. Regards to Daboll, I thought he had a great 2nd half. It was the first time I saw him scheme up plays consistently all year. Hopefully, he keeps this rolling into next week.
The Panthers are almost the perfect opponent for the Bills. They have terrible QB play, and Christan McCaffrey is injured. But, they do have a top 10 defense and are an NFC team. With that said, you are at home and this is a must-win game to keep the division talks alive, along with our own playoff hopes. I’m expecting a big day from the offense. I’m hoping they have at least 21 by halftime. And expect Leslie Fraizer to scheme up a master game plan. This will be a multi-turnover game by the Buffalo Bills defense, with the possibility of a touchdown. Start them if you have them!
By 1:00 PM Sunday, we will know the results of the Patriots at Colts. This is the most important game of the week besides ours. If the Patriots win, this puts the Colts farther behind us. But this maintains the Patriots’ lead in the division against us. But if the Colts pull it off, then everything changes. That would make the December 26, 1:00 PM game at Foxboro an all-timer. The winner would go on to be division champs, and possibly win the AFC. So make sure you put a Bills victory and a Patriots loss on your Christmas list!
