Buffalo Bills at New York Jets Week 10: Shame Shame Shame
Mike D: Overdue Bills Senior Writer
Well, that was a bummer. I didn’t imagine a universe where the 2021 Buffalo Bills would lose to the 2021 Jacksonville Jaguars. When the clocks hit 0:00, and the score was 9-6, I was shocked. This now opens everything back up. Any conversation you want to have, we can have. If you want to talk about the coaches or players we can. That’s how embarrassing that loss was. Assuming nobody gets fired, where do we go from here? With a 3rd conference loss and a division game coming, this game against the Jets just became that much more important.
With this game being important, I think we will see primetime Josh. Spencer Brown is back so that should be a huge improvement to the offensive line. Then the surprise of the year Dawson Knox is also expected to play. With having all his weapons back, I think Josh will be eager to prove that this offense is still the strength of this team. Josh’s passing line is 281.5, and I think he clears that easily by going over 300 yards.
The defense has been playing excellent all year, and nothing changes this week. Even though the Jets has decent weapons, this defense will not be the reason we lose to a Mike White lead Jets team. I think you see 2 interceptions tomorrow, and very likely a pick 6.
I know our coaches will have the team ready. I expect creative play-calling from Daboll and Fraizer. Most importantly, I expect McDermott to coach like this is an important game. I see us going for multiple 4th downs, and maybe a 2-point conversion. Last game, he just kicked the can down the road until the road ran out. I expect an aggressive game plan from the offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator and, head coach.
All in all, the team knows the shame they brought us last week. Bills fans have finally puffed out our chest and started to embrace our place as the best team in the NFL. All of the was erased last Sunday. They know they must get that back on track, so we can reclaim our top spot.
